Two kinds of data, two roles

Your account (your name, email, password hash, business details, subscription): we decide how that's used, so for it we're the controller.

Your customers (their names, addresses, phone numbers, jobs, photos and invoices you put in): that's your data. You're the controller and we process it on your instructions, only to run the service for you. We don't sell it, mine it, or contact your customers except to send what you ask us to send (quotes, invoices, job reminders).

What we collect about you

• What you give us at sign-up and in Settings.
• Sign-in records: when you last signed in, and failed attempts for 24 hours so we can slow down password guessing.
• Billing records from Stripe: whether your subscription is paid. We never see your card number.

Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else handles it

• Vercel hosts the app, and Neon hosts the database.
• Stripe handles subscriptions, and card payments on your invoices if you connect it. Payments go to your own Stripe account.
• Our email provider sends quotes, invoices, reminders and password resets. Twilio sends SMS reminders if you turn them on.
• The day map sends postcodes only (no names) to postcodes.io to find where they are, and your browser loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap.

Some of these are based in the US; transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. When a trial or subscription ends, the workspace stays readable so you can export it. Ask us and we delete the workspace and everything in it within 30 days; backups roll off within a further 30.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Exports are in Reports, any time. For anything else, email us. If your customer asks you about their data, export or delete it from their record; if you need a hand, ask us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
