Terms

These are the terms between you and Faresay Ltd (trading as Robin of Loxley), company number 17302034, for using MyOwnTrader. They're short on purpose.

The service

MyOwnTrader is software for running a trade business: customers, quotes, jobs, a calendar, invoices, reminders and exports. It's a business tool, for use by businesses and sole traders, not consumers.

Price and trial

£15 a month, or £150 a year, including one helper seat. VAT is added if we're required to charge it. The first 14 days are free and need no card. When a trial or subscription ends the workspace becomes read-only; nothing is deleted and exports keep working. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, by email.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part-months.

Card payments from your customers

If you connect Stripe, your customers pay into your own Stripe account under Stripe's terms. You're the merchant: refunds, disputes and chargebacks are between you, your customer and Stripe. We take no fee from those payments.

Your data and your customers'

It's yours. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to hold your customers' details and to send them quotes, invoices and reminders. We process it only to run the service, as set out in the privacy notice, which forms our data processing terms with you.

Invoices and tax

We check that your invoices carry the details UK rules ask for, but what goes on them, and your VAT and tax returns, are your responsibility.

Fair use

Don't use MyOwnTrader to send spam, break the law, or try to get at other people's data. We can suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

Liability

We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it'll never go down. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that time. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you first. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
